The desire to build your own

Some of our customers want to build their own technical solutions, such as applications for Track and Trace systems or a portal for displaying sensor data. This sounds appealing at first, as they think that there are no recurring costs and the application can be developed entirely to your own liking.

The challenges of scaling.

Setting up a server or an application is quick these days. Type in a few lines of code, maybe even with some help from AI, and you have a basic solution. For a small number of devices, this works fine. But as soon as you have to deal with larger data volumes and higher user expectations, it becomes a completely different story.

When scaling up to larger numbers, problems often arise quickly. Larger systems require more capacity and more robust (security) structures. Visualizing historical data becomes more challenging as devices generate more data. Without a proper system, this can lead to delays or loss of important data.

The hidden costs of doing it yourself.

In addition, security of the application, database and front-end is a crucial part of the total solution. Of course, there are experts in the market who can develop similar systems just fine, and we fully acknowledge that. In this day and age, where the security and scalability of solutions are constantly being tested by hacks and cyberattacks, it is a major challenge for every party to set up and maintain robust, flexible and secure infrastructures, regardless of whether you are a beginner or an expert.

A scalable environment also requires fast and flexible adaptations; It requires a team of experts who are constantly working to maintain and improve the system as applications require constant maintenance such as updates and troubleshooting.

Building your own seems more cost-effective with no monthly fees, but the hidden costs of time, resources, and risks such as downtime are often underestimated.

At Miggy, we simply want to share our experiences. Over the years, we have learned how complex it can be to build systems that not only meet today's requirements, but can also withstand the changes and challenges of the future. Our added value lies in providing a proven, scalable solution that is flexible enough to continue to grow and adapt to the needs of our customers, without them having to go through the process of trial and error themselves.

The flexibility customers need.

Self-built solutions need to be flexible to meet changing customer needs. While there are experts who can build similar systems, Miggy IoT offers years of experience in working with scalable and flexible systems.

This experience helps customers grow without trial and error, with the flexibility they need.

Conclusion

At Miggy, you can get started right away with a choice from a wide range of existing sensors and ready-to-use applications and dashboards, which can then be adapted and expanded entirely according to your own wishes.
